Our Covid-19 Response
While the world has lived in a pandemic since the turn of the century, we have been working creatively to ensure that the education for children at Easton Primary School continues to be exceptional with a focus on the children's wellbeing.
We have welcomed the children back this year; the school looking a little different with routines and procedures in place to keep the children, parents and staff safe. Risk assessments have been regularly updated to reflect all of the changes in DfE guidance and can be seen in the risk assessment below.
Online Blended Learning Plan
Seesaw has been instrumental in providing a blended learning plan for the school. Seesaw is an online platform for setting and submitting work as well as providing children with video lessons from teachers which is aimed at providing a flipped learning approach, recommended by the DfE. The parents and children are able to access differentiated, targeted work with tutorials and teaching videos from teachers. Work is marked and commented on too. Pupils who need to self-isolate can access work at home using Seesaw. For full details of how our blended learning plan has been developed please see the plan below.
Catch-Up Funding Strategy
We have also been considering how to support our families with home learning and taking advantage of those moments in school too, carefully planning our recovery from national lockdowns in our Catch-Up funding strategy.
